Welcome to our website!
The end of the planting season of trees & shrubs is nearing; a number of fruit trees & shrubs are still available.
Now is a good time to amend your garden soil with composted manure, horse bedding & the likes, that will feed microbes & improve the physical properties; sending soil sample for analysis or checking salinity & pH on your own is invaluable. Application of Bob’s Custom organic mix will replenish nutrient reservoir for a beautiful spring flush. Perennials & evergreens will benefit from watering during the dry spell we are in.
Winterizing tender perennials, such as roses, is best done in mid - late November, as soil freezes, or preceding a hefty snowstorm. Meadow voles remain active through winter and may girdle large diameter trunks, rummaging under the pillow of snow; apply rodent bait or repellent prior to covering. Damaged trees seldom recover, typically they succumb in 1-2 years.
Adopt a Christmas Tree:
Choose a tree for the Holiday & pick it up at the appropriate time; a $20.00 retainer required.
CSA & Fruit SuperBawl membership registration for 2015 is open,
